Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Enrollment Marketing, the Director of Enrollment Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications plans to support and enhance recruitment, admissions, and enrollment of new students across Berklee.
The Director of Enrollment Marketing is a key leader in the cross-divisional Enrollment Marketing team, collaborating with offices across the institution, including the Office of Admissions, Student Financial Services, and External Affairs to ensure that Berklee's five enrollment divisions (Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Berklee Valencia, Berklee Online, and Summer Programs) are strategically aligned and coordinated in their marketing efforts.
The Director of Enrollment Marketing will work collaboratively with a team of marketing professionals to develop enrollment marketing plans based on market research and trends, data-driven insights, and stakeholder input. These plans will include an integrated mix of marketing channels and recruiting tools to meet enrollment goals. The Director of Enrollment Marketing is responsible for executing, tracking, and reporting on the results of these plans with an expectation of continuous assessment to improve overall results and conversions.
The ability to project manage, implement, and track ROI on comprehensive recruitment/enrollment marketing campaigns that properly encompass the many programs offered by Berklee is a critical component of this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the leadership of the Senior Director of Marketing, this role is responsible for the oversight and success of enrollment marketing efforts for Berklee (Boston Campus), Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Summer Programs, and Berklee (Valencia, Spain Campus).
Design, implement, and track ROI of marketing and communications plans, with a focus on lead acquisition and nurture via digital marketing channels.
Utilize project management tools to ensure marketing initiatives are clearly defined and delivered on time, on budget, and without error.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Strategic Enrollment Research to fulfill reporting needs with regard to marketing activities.Work closely with the Senior Director of Enrollment Marketing to analyze marketing and enrollment data to make recommendations and take action on findings. Present end-of-year ROI analysis of marketing and communications efforts, goals met, and recommendation for subsequent year(s) in support of the institution's enrollment strategy.
Work closely with the Senior Director of Enrollment Marketing to make budget recommendations, monitor expenditures, and analyze the effectiveness of spend.
Collaborate with the Enrollment Marketing Automation Team to guide lead capture and content strategy.
Collaborate with the Enrollment Marketing Creative Team to develop digital and print assets for key enrollment campaigns.
Identify opportunities for cross- and up-selling of programs in marketing campaigns across enrollment divisions.
Assist in partner marketing and business development opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and communications in the field of secondary or higher education, preferably admissions or enrollment. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Must have experience in developing and executing multi-channel marketing plans that support a strategic enrollment objective.
Proven track record as a marketing professional with experience in data-driven decision making.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills, including the ability and initiative to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across organizational lines. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines and project flows with efficiency and attention to detail to deliver on-time and on-budget.
The ability to view organizations holistically and prioritize marketing activities accordingly for the highest impact and return on investment.
Must have a great attitude and be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.
Proven ability to work and lead effectively in a highly diverse campus community.
A keen understanding of today's higher education environment and best practices to attract and retain students across the first-time, transfer, and graduate spectrum.
Experience with the following platforms is preferred: Marketo, Salesforce, Asana, Google Analytics, Google Ads
