This position reports to the US Project Management Lead in the OAPI Marketing Operations Organization. Marketing Operations provides operational support and project management for OAPI brand teams and Commercial Operations Functional Teams.
The individual selected for this position will be primarily responsible for providing operational support to brand marketing teams. This position will provide direct support for planning and executing priority marketing initiatives including new indication launches, brand planning as well as day to day brand operations. Primary responsibilities will include project management and development of presentation materials/ deliverables (e.g., Strategic and Tactical Planning, Brand Deep Dives), along with meeting facilitation and cross-functional management.
This role includes working cross-functionally with all commercial departments including: Brand Teams, Sales, Business Analytics/ Market Research, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Training, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Promotional Compliance, and others. This position also requires coordination with Otsukas alliance partner.
The Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations will play a crucial role in supporting current brand operations as well as preparing for the future, with potential to grow along with the portfolio.
The right candidate for this position will not only have strong project management skills, but also the ability to think strategically, adding value to the brand team beyond basic operations. Examples include problem solving, anticipating challenges, relationship building, process improvement, and structuring presentations
Lead Brand Project Management
Governance/ Major Meeting Materials: o Partner with Brand Leadership to prepare presentations internally and with cross-functional and alliance partners o Gather/ synthesize relevant content o Provide input into contents and story o Present as appropriate Brand Planning: o Partner and align with Brand Leadership to create framework and plan o Synthesize ideas and input into strategies and tactics o Drive process to gain alignment, meet milestones and deadlines o Provide support for building, refining, and gaining approval for the brand budget Product Launch: o Partner with Brand Leadership, Manage Major Marketing Workstreams o Own Overall Launch Readiness, drive launch to major milestones o Lead launch reporting and decision-making processes o Coordinate with Global Marketing team for launch transition to US team
Lead Cross Functional Commercial Projects Cross-Functional Projects: o Lead Key Operational Workstreams Across Functions (e.g. Strategic Planning, Tactical Planning, Brand Budgeting, Governance Presentation Creation) Coordination/ Alignment with Alliance Counterparts Product Launch: o Launch Leadership across commercial functions- Ownership of overall Launch Plan, drive to larger goals o Leverage Project Management Tools and Processes
Expertise in independently managing large projects with multiple workstreams
Experience partnering directly with brand teams and brand leadership
Advanced PowerPoint and deck creation skills
Results-driven with a high sense of urgency and accountability: ability to meet business objectives, deliverables, and timely completion of initiatives with a cross-functional team
High standards for accuracy in written and verbal communication
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks to achieve established deadlines
Knowledge of pharmaceutical market research and business analytics with ability to incorporate into strategies and materials
Strong managerial, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to function effectively under conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity, and ability to navigate competing demands
6-10 years of pharmaceutical industry and/or marketing operations experience
Strong capability as an adaptive learner
