Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Admissions Marketing, the Marketing Operations Specialist will support and implement marketing strategies to better serve the population of prospective first-year and transfer students. In addition, there are communications efforts dedicated to the recruitment of strategic populations that the university seeks to enroll in greater proportions. The admissions communication flow is comprised of multiple channels including but not limited to the website, event specific communications, tour scripts, admissions presentations, email, print, text messaging, social media and video content
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESA CRM Management: oThe Marketing Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining prospective student data in the CRM. The specialist ensures that all communication plans are "programmed" and maximally automated in the CRM. The specialist also monitors those communication plans to ensure they are working and up to date.A oResponsible for building HTML and plain text emails in the CRM and for monitoring how those emails perform. oAssists the first year recruitment team, transfer recruitment team, operations team, and campus visit team in developing their knowledge base and expertise with the CRM. Helps all above teams and the office of admissions build workflows, processes, rules, automations, forms, and communications. oMaintains contact with documentation on the CRM and the latest best practices. Interfaces with the vendor and provides guidance to the Admissions Leadership team as decisions are being made about how to manage admissions processes in the CRM. oWrite and produce general communications materials including annual reports, student spotlights, brochures, emails, web communications, communication flows, and social media communications. oServe as a resource for other departments and programs within the campus, advising them on CRM best practices, email design,A A and content.
Marketing Support: oCollaborate with the Director and Assistant Directors of Admission to support content development for the admissions website, e-communications and social media. oWrite and produce general communications materials including annual reports, student spotlights, brochures, emails, web communications, communication flows, and social media communications. oBuild and maintain relations with the Universityas Web Content Manager.A Work with the Web Content Manager to use the latest strategies and techniques to present an ever changing web presence for prospective students, admitted students, and the general public.A Work with Admissions management to keep pages up-to-date and on the edge of technology. oProvide support to the Assistant Director of Admissions for Admissions Marketing in the production, design, and proofreading of admissions publications.

REQUIREMENTS oBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Computer Science, Psychology, Art, Graphic Design, social sciences, humanities, science, engineering, or related field. oA desire and passion for working in diverse working environment that celebrates differences internally and works with one of the most diverse prospective student populations on the West Coast. oOne year of experience working with a Consumer Relationship Management (CRM) System including the creation of HTML emails, building queries, and managing communication plans. oDemonstrated proficiency in systems level thinking with an ability to see connections between business processes and identify solutions to complex problems. oTechnical proficiency and expertise in using a wide range of communications and design applications, including Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel, page layout software, html, email and social networking applications. oDemonstrated working knowledge of how the conversion funnel works in a marketing context. oMust possess a working knowledge of how to build queries, select correct populations and manipulate data. oDemonstrated ability to write in a style and voice suitable to different audiences and engaging stories for the general public. oSuperior written, oral, interpersonal, and visual arts communication skills; and a demonstrated ability to present clearly and persuasively.A oMust have experience producing a high quality written or visual product on an extremely tight timeline with minimal errors.
DESIRED oExperience with marketing and CRM management in an admissions office that focuses on undergraduate recruitment. oExperience developing and maintaining multi-level communication plans. oExperience with creating, editing and updating marketing publications. o Experience with Slate is strongly preferred.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT oWork is performed in an office setting and externally at community events. oOccasional evening and weekend work. oMust be able to lift/move approximately 50 pounds of materials
