Berkeley Engineering is the second largest college on the Berkeley campus, with more than 230 regular faculty members and over 5,000 students enrolled in seven academic departments. The Engineering College Relations office supports the College's core projects and programs through marketing, communications, and fundraising efforts designed to reach over 70,000 alumni, friends, students, foundations, and corporate partners. The Marketing Communications Specialist reports directly to the Assistant Dean of Marketing and Communications, and works in close collaboration with other members of the Marketing and Communications team. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and executing comprehensive, multi-faceted communications programs in support of the College of Engineering - regularly working in several integrated communications disciplines, including written/print, digital, visual, and broadcast/video communications. Responsibilities 60% Creates engaging content within budget and time constraints that is of a high professional caliber for a variety of written, visual and electronic communications.
*Follows college and campus brand guidelines, when appropriate 25%
*Reviews and benchmarks best practices for communications initiatives and programs on campus and beyond to advance and improve the college's communications program. 15%
