The Writer/Editor is a journalist and developmental editor who is able to shape and balance content, and write substantive, in-depth, and institutionally important feature stories about Boston University, its programs, faculty, students, and alumni for the University's top-tier publications.
The Writer/Editor is an integral part of a comprehensive creative team, supporting the University's communications and marketing initiatives by developing relevant and engaging content for print and web communications in a style and tone that convey University-wide branding.
Act as the developmental editor for several alumni and other University publications as well as feature writer for a variety of alumni print and web publications and BU Today, The Brink, and Bostonia.
Develop print and web content, write and edit for alumni magazines and other high-profile publications for the majority of the University's schools and colleges as well as for a number of research centers and other University constituents. These communications are important vehicles that enable the University to connect with its alumni and other external and internal audiences and to advance BU's development efforts.
Requires: B.A./B.S., Master's Degree preferred, strong communication, experience. editorial and writing skills and three to five years of related work experience.
