Serves as the chief architect of innovative and effective marketing and branding strategies that clearly differentiate NYU Tandon ('Brand') from competitive engineering schools. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Communications and Public Affairs and working closely with the Dean of Tandon, the incumbent strategically plans and leads the conceptualization, development, integration and implementation of all marketing and branding strategies; executes a positioning strategy for the school; and develops and implements new marketing initiatives that strengthen the school's reputation nationally and internationally among all key constituencies. Monitor and analyze the success of all campaigns entered into under the direction of the CMO and the Associate Dean for Communications and Public Affairs.
Required Experience: 7+ years experience in marketing and communications with progressively responsible experience creating, developing and implementing marketing and branding strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of best practices and effective strategies in marketing and communications, including new media and search engine optimization. Demonstrated ability to take the school's needs that may be less well-defined and develop concrete, effective solutions that strengthen the school's image and branding. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to influence effectively and develop creative, alternative solutions where appropriate.
