The Undergraduate and Early Learners Enrollment Marketing and Communications Team is a hybrid marketing and communications team which blends traditional and digital marketing efforts with a focus on communication strategy. The team is made up of experts in skill areas such as: marketing, communication, analytics, strategy with focus on core audiences including high school students, parents, guidance counselors/teachers, and current Northeastern undergraduates. We are an agile and flexible team that aims to enable better storytelling by stronger reporting and strategic analysis of our marketing and communications efforts.
Reporting to the Senior Director, the Associate Director of Enrollment Marketing is responsible for the marketing and communications for new products and populations, including creating a framework strategy, establishing reporting, providing analysis and storytelling, and establishing processes and operations. The Associate Director leads the enrollment marketing and communications strategy and creates a marketing framework for enrolling high school students into new products and programs like Accelerate Pre-College Programs and mobility programs, prior to matriculating to Northeastern University. This position leads adapting and creating enrollment marketing and communication strategies for International High School Student and Parents, as well as Influencers working closely with our International Enrollment Management team and our Graduate Marketing team.
The Associate Director will also lead/co-lead the following campaigns Search, awareness, and non-responder campaigns; Senior Inquiry Comm Requests; parent prospect campaigns; Apply Now campaign; recruitment campaign; integrated yield campaigns for the Undergraduate Day Program. The Associate Director will lead and maintain a framework for tracking, reporting, and analyzing marketing campaigns across the team.
The Associate Director will collaborate with key members of the enrollment teams and will be responsible for the oversight of the marketing strategies for these programs with the goal of increasing applications and/or enrolling students in these programs pending enrollment goals. The Associate Director will play a key role in strategizing around deepening awareness of these programs to the market, and to support expansion of the programs, through linking complex marketing campaigns with key recruitment and enrollment efforts.
The Associate Director is a skilled and strategic marketer who understands how to develop, implement, track and optimize marketing campaigns across all channels. The Associate Director will work to establish positive relationships and collaborate with others internally and externally in various departments, to provide targeted marketing and communication strategic insight in order to support the goals of Enrollment Management. Consultative nature, with proven track record of using data to answer business questions. Excellent communication and presentation skills to present information and data to different constituents. This position requires a unique blend of marketing background, combined with the ability to develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, excellent project management and presentation skills.
A bachelor's degree is required along with 7+ years of significant experience in developing, implementing, tracking/analyzing strategic marketing campaigns. Experience in a marketing field or department required. Higher education experience a plus. Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of marketing strategies.
Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced organization. Strong analytical and digital marketing skills, along with project management skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think and act both analytically and strategically—analyze and interpret data to support the assessment of marketing campaigns is critical.
Experience working with a marketing automation tool, customer relationship management system (CRM), and Google Analytics is a must. Prefer experience in Marketo, Hubspot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.. Experience in social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, etc.), social analytics (Hootsuite, Social Studio, etc.) are also a plus. Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Tableau, and InDesign a plus.
