Advertising: Account Management, Business Development, Sales
Under the leadership of the Vice President of Business Development, the Senior Account Executive – Sales is responsible for maintaining relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential advertising and exhibiting accounts. He or she recruits and maintains relationships for the Corporate Alliance Program, from Business Firms to Gold Partners and works with the Director of Business Development & Relations to maintain and concierge the relationships. The Senior Account Executive stays goals and results oriented in order to meet or exceed current sales level. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Handles sales of exhibit space and advertising, Business Associate membership and other projects as assigned.
Recognizes sales trends and adjusts sales strategies as needed
Upgrades current members and/or recruits new companies to higher Corporate Alliance levels
Maintains comprehensive sales and communication reporting
Contributes to development and maintenance of a prospecting database
Participates in strategic planning meetings for all Corporate Alliance accounts
Manages online floor plan tool, researches and implements new features to enhance exhibitor visibility, attendee interaction, and staff ease of use
Assists with management of on-site exhibit re-booking process and coordination of all external partners
Sales of other non-dues revenue projects as assigned/developed

The position requires at least a High School education and at least 5 years of advertising and trade show experience and/or phone sales with a proven track record achieving high volume sales quotas; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior knowledge of long-term care industry and association experience is preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff, members and the public. Must have the ability to conduct cold calls to new and existing business partners with good follow up skills. Proven phone sales record is also required. Must demonstrate attention to detail, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and a team orientation. Computer proficiency required including experience using MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel and Access). Experience with Salesforce and Expo cad is a plus. Ability to travel locally and nationally is necessary.
