Description of Duties: The graduate assistant for Marketing and Promotions will assist the Director of Sports Marketing and Promotions with all marketing efforts. Graduate assistant will be responsible for game day marketing of designated sport programs. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Facilitate game-day promotions and events for specified sport programs. 3. Coordinate intern and National Anthem performance schedules for all sports. 3. Coordinate all Media hospitality and act as the main contact for football and men’s and women’s basketball and any home conference tournaments. 4. Planning and executing on field/on court promotions, distribution of giveaways and strategizing new ideas to improve game day atmosphere and attendance. 4. Ability to write game day scripts for home events. 5. Will act as the main Marketing contact for men's and women's soccer and softball. 6. Manage the Future Bears club program.
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sports management or a related field is preferred.
Must be accepted into Graduate School with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Must maintain a GPA of a 3.0 or higher in the selected area of graduate studies.
Knowledge of Division I athletics preferred.
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required for events.
REquired to work 20 hours per week.
Candidate must be well organized and able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
Additional Salary Information: Plus waiver for graduate classes.

About Missouri State University
Missouri State University was founded in Springfield in 1905 as the Fourth District Normal School. During its early years, the school's primary purpose was the preparation of teachers for the public school systems in southwest Missouri. The School's first name change came in 1919, when it became the Southwest Missouri State Teachers College, reflecting the institution's regional mission.
