President & COO
The IAB seeks a world-class, deeply experienced digital media and marketing executive to oversee all sales and marketing activities for the world’s largest and most important thought leadership organization in the digital media and marketing industry.
The successful candidate will be steeped in the craft of consultative selling, and have a track record as an account leader who has created value both for his/her organization, and for the clients they have served. The Senior Vice President (SVP), Marketing & Membership Investment will lead the IAB’s sales, marketing, and membership teams. S/he will make sure that the IAB’s capabilities are presented to members, prospects, and the market in the best and fullest way; that these capabilities are successfully delivered to IAB’s stakeholders; and that the sale and delivery of these benefits generate outsized growth for the IAB itself.
Specific Duties (including but not limited to):
Oversee all revenue and marketing initiatives; strategize with Senior Leadership and staff to fully maximize revenue generation opportunities, identifying strategic partnerships and implementing tactical plans to achieve objectives.
Will be responsible for meeting and/or exceed revenue goals through pipeline management
Develop and execute a strategy for engaging IAB members, including regular member correspondence and engagement calls to increase membership satisfaction and grow revenues
Collaborate cross functionally with product groups across the Organization to ensure strategic goals are addressed and manage all product launches
Drive Communications strategy through all channels of the IAB, press, events, research and other IAB output.
Continue to further strengthen the IAB brand through all marketing, membership investment, communications and events
Oversee IAB.com and all IAB social media channels.
Build effective industry relationships and alliances to further the aims of the organization
Keep abreast of industry development and member movement via industry trades, Committees and Councils, conferences, etc. to follow industry trends and company and member moves
Serve as the spokesperson for the Organization with Press and at industry events
Background and Experience
The successful candidate will have a background in sales, marketing, and/or consulting leadership at a significant advertising agency, media company, brand or technology company or consulting firm.
S/he will have been a business leader, with a track record in growing a business.
S/he will know the digital marketing and media industries inside out, and will have a background in packaging, selling, and delivering service offerings that create value for clients.”
Track record of success developing and implementing marketing strategies resulting in increased revenues
A proven track record as a hands-on, results oriented Executive who thrives on managing a variety of initiatives concurrently
Exceptional writing and editing skills as well as meticulous attention to detail and the proven ability to process and prioritize duties
Other experience considered valuable include marketing, advertising agency media or other traditional media ad sales, advertising technology vendor and/or trade associations.
A ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude, a natural leader who sets example, providing thought leadership and solutions to strategic and tactical problems
