The Stanford Online High School (OHS) is an accredited, diploma-granting independent school serving students in grades 7-12. The OHS seeks a Marketing and Outreach Specialist to play a leading role in the development and implementation of the marketing plan and outreach initiatives of the school. Reporting to OHS senior management, this position will contribute to the overall success of the program by maintaining and cultivating interest in the school from prospective student families and relevant external constituents. As a key collaborator with our school units and clients, you will have an in-depth understanding of our innovative school program, and enjoy the opportunity of working with educational professionals and scholarly educators within and outside of OHS. The position will also support other outreach initiatives, including the OHS alumni program and annual fund campaign.
Your responsibilities include:
Maintain and further develop the annual marketing and outreach plan, in collaboration with the school leadership, incorporating methods of independent school marketing and using social media and other online resources.
Implement and execute marketing and outreach initiatives as part of the annual plan.
Maintain and further develop marketing materials including the school brochure and webpage, in collaboration with the school leadership and the Communications Specialist.
Evaluate effectiveness of the existing marketing and outreach initiatives by quantitative and qualitative methods, and report results to the school leadership.
Support the internal communications function of the school, in collaboration with the Communications Specialist.
Plan and execute events to support broad marketing objectives, including student life events and initiatives in admissions offices and in the alumni program.
Manage vendors for marketing and outreach projects.
Build partnerships with other schools and departments in order to develop products, services, programs, and logistics of related events. Please note: This position will move to Stanford's new Redwood City Campus in summer 2019 https://redwoodcity.stanford.edu/
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Previous experience in product, program and/or services marketing.
Ability to drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal.
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of how to implement integrated marketing programs across channels including digital and print.
Experience with market research and data analysis.
Demonstrated problem solving experience.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
High level of familiarity with current social media and online marketing tools.
Proficiency in professional software including MS Office, Drupal, Photoshop, etc.
