Job Summary/Essential JobFunctions: The Communications and Marketing Coordinator serves as theCollege of Pharmacy's coordinator for internal and external communications atthe University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides professional creative writing, presentation and/or production development for media activities.
Works with College's department and units to ensure communication strategies and activities are aligned.
Oversee the College's social media accounts to ensure maximum exposure of the College including faculty, staff and students.
Designs and maintains electronic communication media.
Develops, manages, maintain the college's e-newsletter, magazine, and website.
Determines and creates content for media releases; edit all releases; determine distribution channels; serve as the College's liaison to media and news outlets.
Develops the College's web design and keeps webpages up-to-date.
Develops College of Pharmacy brochures and publications related to the college's enterprise and strategic plan.
Prepares the production of speeches or presentations to be given by Dean, Administrators, and Faculty at college events.
Writes reports, letters, email or announcements for administrators with the College of Pharmacy
Complete special projects as assigned by the Dean – College of Pharmacy.
Assists in the development of local, regional, national news stories, news pitches, and stories for external and internal publications.
Write material for publication to complement the university's research goals and mission.
Perform other duties as performed.
