The Director of Admission and Marketing will report to the Assistant Head of School for External Affairs to oversee all aspects of the enrollment management process and ensure the development and implementation of a strategic marketing and communications plan.
Develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment management plan to differentiate Elgin Academy’s unique brand to enhance recruitment and retention.
Create a written, diversified, coordinated admission and marketing plan with clearly defined objectives, timelines and assignment of responsibilities, covering the following areas: enrollment, communication, and marketing.
Oversee the daily operations of the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment.
Manage and administer the tuition assistance and scholarship programs in consultation with the Tuition Assistance Committee.
Compile and disseminate enrollment, tuition assistance and attrition data for institutional benchmarking purposes. Interpret these statistics, when appropriate to the administration, faculty, and Board of Trustees.
Manage the marketing and communications office to ensure consistency of messaging and the effective telling of Elgin Academy’s story to internal and external constituencies.
Work with divisional directors, other administrators and teachers to spearhead and track retention efforts.
Oversee the Director of International Studies to further develop recruitment and support of international students.
Promote good relationships with outside institutions or groups which can be helpful in attracting quality students.
Report to the Board of Trustees as necessary and serve as the liaison to the board’s Admission and Marketing Committee.
Serve as an engaged member of the school’s senior administrative team.
Supervise a Marketing and Communications Team, Director of International Studies, and an Assistant and work closely with other administrators and staff members.
Must be collaborative in nature and embrace the chance to work with others to design, implement, review, and adjust strategy to tell Elgin Academy’s story.
Must have a desire to work with a team that sets the strategic direction for the school.
Prior experience with independent schools preferred.
Proven customer and organizational skills.
Excellent public speaking and communication skills.
Ability to handle diverse activities and multi-tasking.
