The Office of Digital Education shares the mission to serve the needs of businesses committed to advancing workforce talent, and to reach adult learners and the community with innovative educational programs, is searching for a full-time university staff (unclassified) Marketing Manager (Programmatic) position. The Office of Digital Education reports to the Chancellors of the CU Denver and CU Anschutz Medical Campuses and is leveraging the combined expertise of these innovative units to advance the campus’ capabilities to support the needs of today’s employers. As such, the unit is entering a period of rapid evolution and growth. The investment by the campuses in the Office of Digital Education, combined with recent commitments focused on online education by the University of Colorado Board of Regents, make this a rare and exciting opportunity to work with this team.
The Office of Digital Education is accepting applications for Marketing Manager Programmatic, a full-time university staff (non-classified) position. Marketing Manager (Programmatic) for the Office of Digital Education is responsible for planning, development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives, including media placement and planning, for designated CU Online programs. Position's main objective is to assist in the creation of innovative and compelling marketing campaigns that will drive enrollment in a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees and programs.This position reports to the Senior Director of Online MarketingThis position does not have any formal supervisory authority
Examples of Work Performed:
Develop new strategies/enhancements for program positioning, value proposition and unique selling propositions to various market segments.
Liaise with clients on all marketing obstacles and provide regular reporting and updates to clients, including following up on all projects, initiatives and action items.
Update and audit programmatic website content to ensure accuracy and SEO optimization.
Define audience segmentation/profiling.
Foster the development of innovative marketing solutions tailored to the CU brand and program characteristics
Develop quarterly or marketing campaign reports for management, and regularly report results of campaigns/starts to senior management and internal clients.
Create framework, outlines, presentations and documents for all client meetings.
Develop/suggest enhancements and improvements to marketing materials (website, banner, directory copy, email, landing pages, brochure, e-newsletter, print, tradeshow/conference, whitepaper, podcast, webinar and demos) with the goal of increasing lead generation volume and media effectiveness.
Act as final quality control for copy/content/design for selected projects.
Obtain competitive pricing and provide estimates from vendors for projects; enter all purchase order requisitions, authorize and process invoices for payment
Contribute to the creation of annual and quarterly strategic planning for portfolio of accounts
Engage in monthly audits to validate marketing materials, messages and placements for quality and accuracy.
Work with recruitment on their enrollment progress and ensure targets are met/exceeded though a combination of marketing and recruitment activities.
Coordinate and collaborate with paid search vendor on lead generation efforts, working to find new sources and methods for enhancing lead generation efforts.
Jointly own all related marketing & media deliverables and work together to ensure that all timelines and objectives are met.
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization from an accredited university or college
Minimum of two years experience in campaign management
Minimum of two years experience in budget management
Minimum of two years experience in online marketing
Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization from an accredited university or college
3 to 5 years of experience in marketing and higher education, particularly online program marketing; digital marketing knowledge; project management; copywriting/editing preferred.
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Highly motivated and a professional self-starter, able to successfully manage multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with reliable professional judgment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, with all levels of staff and administrators in the organization, and with our CU partners in Marketing, and in colleges and schools.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively with a team and across the organization to achieve desired results.
Strong work ethic and positive problem-solving attitude, and enthusiasm for and experience in team building and skills in a collaborative working environment.
Skills to organize and complete complex projects and to work under tight deadlines.
Possesses outstanding interpersonal relationship skills, along with an understanding of the inherent need to establish and maintain effective and collegial relationships with staff, faculty, students and with departmental representatives within the campus and university.
Strong knowledge of marketing principles and best practices
