Summary: The Senior Marketing Specialist reports to theDirector of International Patient Services with a dotted line to the Manager ofMarketing. He or she is responsible for working strategically to coordinate themarketing needs and initiatives in support of Cook Children's International,such as those pertaining to the International Business Development team, CookChildren's Physician Network, Cook Children's Specialty Centers. Additionally,this person will be the project lead for new system initiatives to ensureleadership goals are met, such as opening new market. This position will workclosely with leadership/staff within International Patient Services to developcommunications strategies and marketing plans that will enhance the vision andgoals of the company and the system as a whole. He/she serves as a projectcoordinator (account executive) for these areas, ensuring all marketing needsare addressed by agreed upon deadlines. Oversees projects from concept tocompletion. Communicates with internal and external clients throughout process.Individual will be responsible for understanding and integrating the CookChildren's brand and key messaging into all materials. Will ensure on a monthlyor quarterly basis that the Director of International and Manager ofMarketing have been informed of all projects with proofing materials andprojects associated with all companies within Cook Children's Health CareSystem. Individual works in tandem with the Public Relations team withinCorporate and Community Affairs to leverage PR opportunities on behalf of CookChildren's as needed. Requires working closely with Marketing Specialists,graphic designers, Web team, public relations team and vendors. Must be anexcellent writer/communicator, diplomatic, strategic and able to handle amulti-faceted workload.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism,Business, Liberal Arts or related field.
Work requires 5 to 8 years in marketing and communicationsenvironment with hands-on experience, preferably in a health care environment.
Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and meetdemanding deadlines.
Must be an excellent writer/communicator, diplomatic andable to handle a heavy workload.
Professional experience in a health care environmentstrongly desired.
Bilingual in writing and speaking either Spanish or Arabicis required.
