The Marketing Manager, Surveys works as a member of ILTA’s Marketing and Communications team and reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. This position can be located remotely or out of the Chicago office. This role’s primary responsibilities will be to oversee the project management, delivery and promotional strategies of annual and ad-hoc ILTA surveys. Additionally, this role will work closely within the marketing team to write and deliver promotional content supporting the surveys for newsletters, website, social and other member and business partner programs. This position collaborates with designers, ILTA Membership, Events, and Business Development staff, ILTA volunteer members and content coordinators, and external research agencies to deliver packaged, developed surveys for use in white papers, promotions, website, social media and marketing communications, all optimized for measurement and engagement metrics.
Project manage outside research firm(s) for ILTA’s annual surveys, including Tech Survey, Staffing, Compensation Survey, and others
Work closely with ILTA Volunteer Members who spearhead many of the survey projects, working collaboratively with the Membership professional staff, and oversee a project schedule and plan to deliver each survey
Edit and publish other surveys requested by membership and programming, including the Marketing Technology survey, the Knowledge Management survey, and the Litigation Support survey
Develop, execute and analyze the ILTA Annual Conference survey, all national event surveys (4-5 annually), via internal survey tools
Recommend and perform proactive internal surveys as requested by the board and leadership team to help shape and achieve goals of ILTA’s strategic plan.
Review outside research firms and potential new survey partnership opportunities
Analyze and assess other member satisfaction outlets, including local meeting satisfaction analysis, webinar analysis, and other satisfaction and member engagement data points
Work with staff teams to ensure feasibility and execution of all aspects of survey calendar and production
Develop ideas for proactive market landscape and demographic surveys that would benefit ILTA members
Works closely with editorial and design teams to ensure content follows editorial governance and is consistent with the ILTA brand voice, style, and tone
Establish strong working relationships with cross departments, members and other SMEs to fuel the development of timely surveys and promotional content
Work with tech teams to ensure seamless workflows and process for member downloads and purchases, based on their member benefit levels
Create campaigns and promotional messaging supporting survey launches, and a calendar throughout the year to promote this member benefit across all areas of ILTA members and partners
Develop online analytics and member engagement metrics and benchmarks to help track consumption of surveys
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in marketing, communications, publishing, or library science or a related field
4 - 6 years of experience
Experience with associations and member constituents preferred
Hands-on experience using Survey Monkey or other survey tool required
Past experience producing promotional content for the web and print, as well as other digital outlets (blogs, social, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
Great communicator and cross-team collaborator
Strong attention to detail and project management skills. This role requires balancing several initiatives simultaneously
Excellent editing and proofreading skills
A working knowledge of marketing best practices including email, digital, and social media
Telecommuting is allowed.
