The University of Missouri is now accepting applications for the position of Sports Marketing Associate - Intercollegiate Athletics. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that will be responsible for assisting in the development of a quality sports marketing program for the Department of Athletics. Additional duties to include: Proposing, evaluating and coordinating the implementation of marketing and community relations strategies; researching new advertising, marketing and community relations approaches; propose program design. Create and implement marketing plans and act as marketing contact for assigned sport(s) of wrestling and softball; oversee operations of Tiger Town, Mizzou Football Pregame Tailgate Festival; produces and distributes marketing and community relations materials; supervises and trains staff, volunteers, interns and work study employees; assists in special projects; performs other duties, as assigned. An Associates degree in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities may be acquired. A minimum of two years' experience with one year in a supervisory capacity is desired. Valid driver's license is required.
