The Director of Creative Services & Digital Marketing is responsible for managing the creative direction of the Athletics Department along with raising awareness of, promoting, and developing specific digital marketing and social media strategies designed to increase key stakeholder engagement and drive attendance to UC Riverside Athletics events through creative and strategic marketing, communications and promotional initiatives and collaboration with a variety of on-campus entities; engaging and providing attendees at athletics events with a first-rate, in-game experience; and creating or overseeing the creation of items designed to promote events and celebrate our successes.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Thorough knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques. Strong interpersonal communication and political acumen skills. Strong skills in event and media activities management. Thorough knowledge of marketing mediums and funding sources. Thorough analytical and written communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the campus and/or medical center, including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives and infrastructure. Strong project management skills. Outstanding interpersonal and public relations skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community and wide range of constituencies, including the corporate community and institutional marketing personnel. Proficient in computer programs related to managing marketing functions and creating presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and photoshop. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Master's degree in sports management, marketing, or a related field.
Skill in mentoring less experienced staff. Thorough knowledge of the campus and/or medical center products and services. Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
