We’re now seeking a savvy marketing strategist to join the collaborative team in our Reston, VA office.
The marketing strategist will serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a large client in the K-12 education space. More than a project manager, this position is responsible for providing leadership and strategic guidance as well as ensuring the profitability and success across all marketing and communications functions for this client.
Act as primary day-to-day liaison between agency and client department heads for all marketing and communication functions. Manage campaigns autonomously and proactively address client needs.
Work with agency specialists to ensure that the client’s needs are met: monitoring and strategically guiding internal team’s activities and maintaining proactive, direct contact with client contacts.
Oversee the development and execution of highly creative and effective marketing solutions.
Proactively inform the client’s strategic marketing direction and ensure campaign success.
Lead and mentor other members of the team working on client campaigns
Develop campaign benchmarking, and monitor and report overall campaign performance to ensure client goals are achieved. Proactively recommend necessary course corrections.

Minimum of 8 years of marketing experience required. 10+ years marketing experience, including association experience strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in related field (in marketing, public relations, communications, psychology or general business) preferred.
Ability to effectively lead an internal marketing team required. Experience managing direct reports strongly preferred.
