The Associate VP for USA Health Marketing and Communications will plan, develop and implement visionary branding, marketing, and communications strategies and tactics that build and sustain local, state and regional recognition of all components of the USA Health system and position USA Health as the leader in innovative medical care, education and research on the Upper Gulf Coast. USA Health is a a comprehensive academic health system consisting of two hospitals, a cancer research institute, a physicians practice and a college of medicine.
The Associate VP will manage a team of professional and administrative staff responsible for marketing, advertising, events, community outreach, public and media relations, publications, social media and website.
The Associate VP will work with USA Health leadership to reposition USA Health as the first choice in the marketplace among customers, stakeholders, potential partners and competitors, with the objectives of capturing a greater share of the existing market; create new markets and develop new sources of revenue; develop and implement specific and measurable marketing and communication tactics designed to increase patient usage and physician referrals to USA Health services and facilities; collaborate with departments and leadership throughout USA Health to evaluate and implement marketing strategies that synchronize with organizational goals and desired outcomes; promote the education and research missions of USA Health to prospective and current patients, prospective employees and students, current and prospective partner organizations, and the general public; serve as the chief spokesperson for USA Health to media and the community; review and implement best practices in communications and crisis response; and conduct training and education with USA Health employees to ensure quality and consistency of branding, marketing and communications throughout all public- facing components of USA Health.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, ten years of progressively increasing leadership and management experience in a complex marketing and communications environment. Demonstrated success in planning and implementing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns for mid- to large-size organizations is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
