Boston Universitys Institute for Sustainable Energy (ISE) seeks a passionate marketing and communications expert who can support effective branding of ISEs thought leadership and applied research. The ISE seeks to reach a number of different audiences, including sustainability leaders and enthusiasts, policymakers, regulators, the private sector, NGOs and foundations, individual philanthropists, engineers and scientists, specialized and mainstream media, and Boston University faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The ideal candidate will be ready to work with ISEs leadership and key ISE stakeholders to craft the overall strategic positioning and messaging, creating a unique identity in the growing sector of sustainable energy programs. Once the overall positioning and messaging are agreed upon, the Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for establishing the ISE brand in all aspects of the ISEs activities. These include we website, push digital communications, primary and secondary research, and all collateral materials. The person in this position will also be capable of building and maintaining a database that can be used for proactive communication, as well as managing ISE events. This is a part-time position that reports to the Executive Director of the ISE.
A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a marketing or communications focus strongly preferred. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in public relations, marketing or communications is preferred.
