McKesson is a global leader that is helping define the future of the healthcare industry and we are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing to help strategize and implement social media, blog, and digital advertising strategies within the McKesson Specialty Health and U.S. Pharmaceutical business units. This position will work in a fast-paced environment and will play a vital role in developing digital strategies to drive demand generation, brand management, and social engagement. In addition, this role will assist in developing a digital marketing plan addressing paid, owned, and earned media tactics for both business units, including aggregating all digital marketing activities currently taking place across the business, benchmarking those activities against the other McKesson businesses as well as external best practices, and preparing an annual plan to close gaps and maximize our digital marketing efforts.
Collaborate with marketing leaders to understand segment and product priorities, and define the role digital marketing will play in achieving those goals.
Curate high quality digital content to maximize opportunities to engage, acquire and retain customers; educate prospects and customers on our products, services, and thought leadership platforms.
Collaborate within marketing to develop a holistic a keyword strategy covering SEO, PPC, social media, local and mobile, display and banner ads, video and image search, real-time search, branding, and positioning.
Develop keyword research briefs tailored to personas and develop keyword scoring methodologies addressing conversion, nurturing, and branding initiatives.
Develop social monitoring and social sentiment analysis methodologies.
Collaborate within marketing to develop segmentation techniques tailored to specific digital advertising and social media platforms.
Collaborate within marketing to develop digital ad campaigns tailored to mobile, prospecting, remarketing, search, and dynamic search where applicable.
Responsible for strategic alignment with social and digital marketing strategies, including social listening and psychographic profile development.
Develop a digital content strategy and editorial calendar to help connect the McKesson brand to both customers and prospects on digital and social platforms.
Provide training in social media and digital advertising best practices for the business unit, and support executive thought leadership on digital platforms.
Collaborate within marketing to optimize digital and social channels to generate leads, acquire share of voice, increase brand loyalty, retain customers, and increase search rankings and site traffic.
Generate insights and recommendations based on data to improve our digital presence and strategies.
Coordinate with Corporate Digital Marketing on business-unit content for Corporate blog and social media posts.
Manage vendors who support digital projects, such as creative agencies and web production firms.
8 years communications experience.
Superior project management skills; execution-focused and able to drive complex projects to completion; detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to forge highly collaborative cross-BU and cross-functional relationships with both peers and executive stakeholders.
Familiarity with digital tools, services and concepts, including social media/monitoring, digital advertising platforms, web analytics, user experience, SEO, and content management systems.
Strong writing skills.
Ability to take direction from more than one leader, work independently or as part of a team, and manage multiple project elements at the same time.
B2B knowledge required.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Thorough knowledge of communications; good written and verbal communications skills.
4-year degree in journalism, communications, business or related field or equivalent experience.
General Office Demands.
Occasional travel (less than 20%) required.
