The Affiliate Faculty member will teach courses in the School of Business and Leadership for the College of Undergraduate Studies (CUS). The selected affiliate(s) must have effective teaching techniques with an emphasis on today’s marketing practices. An understanding with an experience in how social media, the internet, and other technology help businesses grow and operate in today’s fast paced culture is a must. Will collaborate with other faculty and must be able to perform other duties that may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A terminal (doctoral level degree) in a related business field from an accredited college/university is preferred, master’s degree (preferably MBA) is required. Emphasis in marketing is a must.
The School of Business and Leadership places a great deal of importance on “Practitioner Professors”. Each are expected to engage in professional activities and scholarly work.
Teaching experience in a college or university is preferred, with a proven track record of student learning and engagement through previous classroom evaluations by students or faculty administration.
Demonstrate superior oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Passionate about Christ-centered higher education and dedicated to the integration of faith and learning in the business fields. Deeply committed to student success.
Proficiency in appropriate Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to use appropriate software/technology (Blackboard).
Committed to learning new ideas for classroom presentations and dynamic class interactions to engage student learning in a meaningful way.
