The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) is seeking a Digital Marketing and Design Manager to oversee its membership- and event-based marketing campaigns and execute in-house graphic design needs. The ideal candidate would have a well-rounded technical background and outstanding project management skills in order to provide effective management of INSA’s brand through print, digital, and social media platforms. This is not an entry-level position.
The Digital Marketing and Design Manager would:
Oversee the design, development, and production of print and digital marketing collateral and, on occasion, work with outside designers and contractors for additional production needs as necessary.
Devise and execute INSA’s email marketing strategy, including management of multiple, simultaneous campaigns to internal and external audiences
Be responsible for design and production of membership communications, including an e-newsletter, membership recruitment materials, and print and digital products related to the marketing and execution of INSA events and programs
Develop in-kind advertising opportunities, developing a tailored proposal of promotional benefits and maintaining relationships with potential marketing partners
Utilize social media properties creatively to meet marketing objectives and elevate INSA’s social media presence and branding
Manage third-party tools and applications that support INSA’s online presence and operations (e.g., social media apps, survey software, multimedia hosting, etc)
Support development and dissemination of multimedia products as needed.
Desired Skill Set
Strong understanding of graphic design principles. Experience developing digital and print products using Adobe Creative Suite programs, particularly Photoshop and InDesign, strongly preferred.
Proficiency with HTML and experience in website content management; advanced proficiency with WordPress a plus.
Familiarity with email marketing providers essential; experience using Informz a plus.
Some work experience utilizing Salesforce or Cvent preferred; familiarity or proficiency with both a plus.
Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-up and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field of study.
Excellent writing and editing skills
Video editing skills
Experience working in a professional association or similar environment a plus
Interest or experience working in a national security-related organization a plus
