Vice President Marketing & Communications
Are you great at creating new opportunities? Can you deliver insight, direction and measurable results? As an ardent, dedicated and detail-oriented professional, you will provide exceptional direction while you oversee communications, content, and design within the association’s internal communication, videos and social media.
Oversee IFMA’s internal communications/marketing strategies and tactics.
Develop and implement marketing strategy for all products and services.
Assist IFMA Foundation, FM Research & Benchmarking Institute (RBI) and the Built Environment Technology Association (BETA) with marketing strategy and implementation.
Oversee the budget and staff for the marketing and communications departments.
Review, give feedback, and assist with the oversight of the association’s overall fiduciary responsibilities and budget.
Oversee consistent messaging efforts across departments, ensuring AP style is being executed both in print and online.
Lead the association’s video presence and strategy.
Direct the association’s social media efforts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube).
Write or direct the rewriting of copy, headlines and captions to clarify meaning and to conform to IFMA’s style and editorial policy.
Serve as a member of the executive team.
Serve as a member of the RICS Steering committee.
Supervise the director of communications and the marketing team.
Oversee association/contract editors, writers, graphic designers, photographers and videographers.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications and 15 years of related experience.
Must have a minimum of 5 years supervisory management experience.
Microsoft Office Suite software (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Publisher; Outlook).
Establish and maintain social media sites and blogs, data analytics, and websites.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English with strong communications and writing skills; write speeches and articles for publication; read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.
Capable of responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
