Our Mission: Given the belief that each child deserves the opportunity to reach his or her full intellectual and emotional potential, New Vistas School provides a safe, nurturing, and individualized educational environment that fosters academic and personal growth necessary for life-long, productive citizenship. The school serves students with learning, attention, and social-emotional challenges.For 30 years, New Vistas School has been providing an individualized, multi-sensory education experience for students with specific learning disabilities (such as dyslexia), other health impairments (such as AD/HD and anxiety), and high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders. The school serves students in grades 3-12 who benefit from a smaller, more structured setting that balances remediation, college/career preparation, and social skills training.Duties and responsibilities include:
Plan and implement the annual fundraising campaign.
Spearhead fundraising events.
Correspond with donors.
Develop, revise, and maintain donor and alumni files, mailing lists, and profiles.
Develop specific comprehensive marketing objectives, strategies, plans, messaging and tactics to meet the schools financial and census goals.
Assist with the development of marketing materials such as: TV, print, online/digital banner ads, social media, internal and external communications and event needs.
Manage and work community events.
Update social media platforms.
Expand the current donor base.
Explore and pursue grant proposals.
Prepare monthly reports and triennial newsletter.
Extending awareness/visibility of NVS into the community.
Serving as an ex officio member of the Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of two years non-profit experience.
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, including Publisher.
Proficiency with Giftworks or similar donor database software.
