About the position: The American Alliance of Museums seeks a tech-savvy writer and editor to plan targeted marketing efforts across multiple media platforms with internal and external stakeholders. The Manager will plan communications that reinforce AAM’s strategic priorities, market AAM’s key revenue-generating programs, and highlight AAM’s membership benefits. The Manager will provide guidance to staff on communications and marketing techniques and follow best practices to identify/track the communications preferences/habits of AAM members, maintain good list hygiene, and identify ways to ensure that our communications materials are accessible to persons with disabilities.. Salary is mid $50s.
Skills and qualifications: The successful candidate can manage a high volume workflow of multiple stakeholders using a project management program (we currently use Asana); is adept at using marketing email platforms (we currently use MagnetMail); can track progress on messages sent; has performed A/B testing and social media integration with electronic messages. You should have strong writing/editing skills; ability to gather and synthesize information for delivery via multiple digital channels; and a knack for crafting messages that are both informative and engaging using words, infographics, videos, and images.
