At Girl Scouts, our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We are the premier leadership organization for girls and an expert on their growth and development.
About Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana
It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Girl Scouts’ founder Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in the power of every girl. She organized the first Girl Scout troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, and every year since, we've made her vision a reality, helping girls discover their strengths, passions, and talents.
Our council, the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest ...Indiana (GSGCNWI), was formed when 7 councils in Chicagoland and nearby Indiana merged on July 1, 2008. Today, GSGCNWI is one of the largest councils in the country. We're more than 55,400 girls and 21,300 adults strong!
Our dedicated employees work out of 6 Gathering Places and 6 campground properties, and also virtually, to reach girls throughout many counties in Illinois and Indiana. Together with volunteers and interns, we build an environment where any girl can be empowered to define their future. We provide a fun, casual work environment where we offer a comprehensive benefits package. There is also schedule/worksite flexibility to ensure a balanced team that is committed to our mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character.
We welcome a diverse staff, and we look forward to meeting you!
