The Digital Marketing Strategist is a full stack digital marketing expert. This person will understand the complete marketing journey from prospect to advocate. The role is responsible for leading the development of prospect engagement strategies leveraging all digital channels, including PPC, SEO, display, distribution, mobile, CRO, email marketing and social. This person will know the key digital advertising platforms and have experience planning and executing data-driven programs to reach, engage and convert prospects to customers. This person is responsible for developing strategies that deliver on Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) clients business and brand goals by integrating inputs from across their digital properties to build a point of view that reflects consensus from all stakeholders. The Digital Marketing Strategist will be responsible for developing strategic marketing plans for our clients and will partner extensively with internal teams to develop creative and digital programs that deliver results.
The Digital Marketing Strategist ensures on-time and on-budget delivery of all required tasks, deliverables and projects. This position will lead the creation, formulation, implementation, and evaluation of clear digital, social and content strategies for DMO clients. The position will serve as a thought leader in using technology and content to connect with target audiences in meaningful ways, and in aligning digital strategy with business goals and objectives. The role will work across all digital media including; research, content creation, SEO, social, display, mobile, paid search, CRO, email, and more.
Develop and communicate customer experience and engagement strategies that integrate appropriate digital media.
The ability to influence and work with colleagues across various disciplines and departments within the company.
Expertise with complex cross-channel strategies, including online marketing, websites,
CRM, social media, and mobile is essential.
Build acquisition, nurturing, cross selling, retention, and loyalty programs across a variety of engagements and channels.
Identify the best online digital media and channels to use for the audience/marketing strategy.
Collaborate with multi disciplinary teams to develop hypotheses, conduct and manage research and analysis, and formulate insightful and actionable recommendations for clients.
Lead the design of digital marketing concept development starting with identifying opportunity areas through to experience definition.
Drive problem-solving process with broader team of consultants using both analytical and creative techniques to get to compelling results.
Gain deep understanding of client's marketing goals and objectives through interviews, focus groups, as well as qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Work with Account Services team and independently to identify and close new business leads. Serve as active participant in business development efforts, both within existing clients and for new client opportunities.
Become a trusted advisor to Simpleview clients, advising on new digital marketing releases and general online marketing best practices; build, develop and deliver complete strategic plans to meet clients’ business objectives.
Collaborate across complex organization structures including a wide variety of client teams, company resources and agency specialist partners.
Identify and quantify new opportunities to grow the clients' business: deliver presentations, plans and advice to help achieve competitive advantage.
Be responsible for thought leadership in the marketplace by contributing to the team’s efforts to develop content on digital marketing as an authority voice.
Know the customer by leveraging data to understand customer behavior, develop new customer insights, and drive new-targeted digital marketing opportunities.
Stay current with digital marketing trends. Digital Marketing is constantly changing- to stay at the top of our industry; the Digital Marketing Strategist must continually monitor current digital marketing trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies and then translate those insights into new marketing ideas for clients.
Act as a coach and mentor for less experienced team members. Provide work direction, guidance and ongoing feedback related to team performance and strategy. Manage, coach, and teach other team members around digital marketing strategy and how it can influence business and brand outcomes.
Ability to regularly travel for onsite meetings and speak at industry events and conferences.

Experience as a Digital Marketing Strategist in an agency or client side environment.
5+ years deep experience in digital marketing -including but not limited to email marketing, website analytics, search, social media, display, mobile, CRM. Online acquisition experience is a plus.
Domain expertise of the web, social, display, ecommerce, mobile, SEO, email and the overall broad digital marketing landscape.
Experience working with and presenting to clients as well as working with creative and UX teams.

Ability to interpret primary and secondary research, and develop brand positioning, personas, customer journeys and communication planning. Hands-on experience in digital marketing (social, mobile, web) and paid/earned media.
Experience or familiarity with technologies and best practices related to some or most of the following: Customer Lifetime Value, CRM, marketing/sales automation, Content Marketing, Lead Management/Lead Nurture, data driven marketing, Conversion Optimization and experience development
Proven experience developing trust among a client's leadership team and navigating it before, during and after strategic development and execution. Ability to partner effectively with 3rd party agency clients and department leaders (such as insights and analytics, planning, account and creative).
Experience working in a lead role in an agency or consulting firm.
Proven experience using your digital marketing knowledge to drive business performance across various media and channels
Strong knowledge of digital media and digital content model
Hands-on skills using data to drive decisions- proficiency in Excel is required
Experience translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations- proficiency in PowerPoint is required.
Ability to leverage business experience to identify new business and marketing opportunities.
Quality execution of tickets and projects.
Strong listening skills to understand clients visible and invisible needs, can recognize a situation needing a resolution and ability to grow account.
