DuPont Industrial Biosciences business would become part of a new Specialty Products Company. The merger transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2017.
As a member of the Industrial Biosciences Sr. Leadership/Executive team, the Global Marketing & Communications Leader will report to the Business President, Industrial Biosciences and will be located at our Wilmington, Delaware office. This position will partner with the Business President to lead the full scope of IB business marketing and employee communications as well as external/public affairs communications. This position’s primary focus is to develop the global communications and marketing strategy, providing strategic communications guidance to the business Leadership team with a focus on internal employee communications and business marketing that delivers business value, creates brand identity and supports employee engagement efforts. The position will provide leadership to a global team of communications and business marketing communications professionals focused on driving a consistent image and identity across the business.
Lead development of a business wide global external marketing communication strategy, encompassing our branding, thought leadership, public relations, advertising and digital presence.
Quantitatively measure the results of our investment in marketing and communications and use this to drive continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities to increase brand preference and loyalty
Develop strategic external communications as needed for the business leadership team
Provide leadership to internal employee communications efforts with a focus on increasing employee engagement and strengthening the culture in the organization.
Manage global budget and staffing to support implementation of marketing and communication programs; ensuring alignment with business leaders
Identify, leverage and implement the best practices, and common tools across the communication function.
Drive industry leading productivity for the function and integrate communication plans across businesses/regions where similar industries/markets are touched by brand positioning and messaging.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Communications and Marketing Leadership role with strong strategic brand, marketing and internal global employee communication skills.
BS in Marketing or Communications with experience in B2B business marketing.
Senior Leader who directs marketing strategy for communications and delivers high quality programs with proven results.
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for competitive advantage; ability to analyze, interpret and translate marketing strategies into effective communications.
