The National Recreation and Park Association’s Marketing and Communications team is accepting intern applications from current undergraduate students or recent graduates to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for well-known nonprofit organization. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of creative, fun, and passionate leaders that are highly motivated to create awareness to the general public and our membership. During this experience you will gain a variety of skills including content development, program management and how to collaborate as a meaningful contributor to a marketing team.
This is a full time paid internship (37.5 hours/week) that will last 3-4 months and interns can use the experience towards academic credit. Position pays $7.50 - $12 per hour.
Develop content for promotional materials including direct mail pieces, print and electronic newsletters, web site and social media stories, medial releases, and other materials as needed
Join and contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions
Work with staff on other teams throughout the organization on projects that focus of different aspects of the organization
Passionate or highly motivated to learn about sustainability, climate change solutions, and/or environmental management
Social Media and Design experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work individually, as well as part of a team
Current student in or recent graduate of an undergraduate or associates program
