This position supports InfoComm’s Marketing & Communications Department by generating written and other content for the association’s website and implementing the association’s social media plan, tracking media, social media and blog metrics.
Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
Provides general support to InfoComm’s communications program.
Writes, curates and contracts written content for publication on InfoComm websites.
Coordinates with Digital Media Manager on producing multimedia content, including video and audio, for the InfoComm sites.
Implements InfoComm’s social media plan, including communicating to staff InfoComm’s social media policies and ensuring compliance, and implementing InfoComm’s strategic goals through social media platforms.
Tracks the efficacy of content, multimedia, and social media campaigns, creating metrics and reports.
Other duties as assigned.

Writing: Ability to produce clear, succinct written stories drawn from multiple sources and in conformance with AP Style and relevant InfoComm style; ability to identify story leads, interview appropriate contacts, write stories under tight deadlines, and ensure factual accuracy. Versatile enough to be as comfortable writing four-word headlines and photo captions as 4,000-word long-form articles. Maintains editorial excellence throughout.
Media Design and Production: Ability to source, crop and edit original photography to accompany written content. At ease with modern digital asset management best practice, tagging of files, versioning, etc.
Design: Has a strong visual sensibility and the ability to “see” how the power of words can be enhanced by the right choice of font, color, and other graphic devices and components.
Project Management: Sets goals, prioritizes tasks with assistance, estimates time lines, works within deadlines, reports progress and setbacks to stakeholders.
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field.
4 years of experience writing or producing content marketing for the web.
2 years of experience in social media promotion.
Proficiency in LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media platforms.
Knowledge of web video and audio tools
Knowledge of HTML
Knowledge of web publishing platforms, such as WordPress.
Knowledge of the commercial audio/video industry a plus
