Oversee Wildcat Recreation marketing, sales and guest service activities. Assists in the development and implementation strategies that promote sales and maximum utilization of recreation facilities, programs and services. Manages the production of all department publications and customer communications. Create customer recognition vehicles to celebrate individual and group achievements. Oversee all department social media communications. Assist staff evaluate customer satisfaction relating to recreation programs, facilities and services. Assist in resolving customer concerns and promotes customer retention.

Responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of recreation facilities, programs and services. Evaluates sales performance to help develop and update departmental goals and objectives to reach/exceed department revenue goals. Recommends changes to current procedures based on market research and new trends. Oversees the development and implementation of customer service initiatives designed to improve customer program and service satisfaction. Manage Guest Service staff to promote increased sales of memberships, programs & services. Manage interdepartmental communication of program/service information, schedules and concerns to all full time staff and designated part time staff.
Develops, designs, and implements Wildcat Recreation website. Implements web technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Develops strategy for targeted marketing publications. Responsible for data extraction, list or lead generation, or evaluating effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Collects and analyzes data related to social media marketing campaigns. Assists in identifying the appropriate social media channels to expand Recreation program and membership awareness and tailors campaigns to the appropriate target audience. Tracks performance of various social media initiatives and develops/implements changes to improve goals and objectives. Stays abreast of changes in the market place to best serve the objectives of the department and adjusts plans accordingly.
Designs and implements "user friendly" information/ registration system and membership database. Directs the development and implementation membership and activity registration operations. Implements market research and customer feedback initiatives (i.e. surveys, focus groups, etc.) to evaluate customer satisfaction with use of recreation facilities, programs and services. Communicates improvements to Recreation professional staff.
Recommends an annual budget for division marketing, promotions and sales.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in Marketing or related field.
OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Minimum 2 years related marketing and sales experience.
CPR/First Aid certificate.
Experience in marketing and sales.
Ability to effectively manage staff and student workers.
Ability to demonstrate strong independence and discretion.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Master’s in Business Administration or related field.
