Carnegie Mellon University is currently seeking applicants for a Coordinator of Fitness Facilities & Marketing for the Dept. of Athletics. Primary responsibilities for this full-time position include recruiting, posting & hiring, supervision & training and scheduling student desk and cleaning positions for the fitness areas. Will also manage & approve bi-weekly student hours in Workday. Provide credit card training to all student desk attendants. Manage equipment inventory, locker rentals, laundry, towel and racquet service. Provide facility oversight for fitness spaces and will manage all areas of outdoor recreation. Proficiency with computer and software applications, including Microsoft Office.
Update, design and publish campus recreation marketing materials and promote and update events on social media and other news outlets. Attends marketing and tabling events that represent Athletics and Recreation Dept. Assists as needed with other areas of recreational programs as directed by the associate director. Incumbent will be primary contact for annual and summer fitness memberships and will manage memberships while providing excellent customer service to current and potential new members.
Individual will provide general assistance to associate director of athletics and recreational programs staff. Must be highly organized and efficient with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks throughout the work day, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to capably handle a variety of challenges and unique situations while maintaining a service-oriented and professional manner.
High School Diploma required
3-5 years Marketing Background preferred
Proficiency with computer and software applications, including Microsoft Office is needed
Marketing & Communication background preferred
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills are crucial for success in this role
