This position will serve as the primary marketing director for men’s & women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse. This individual holds the responsibility to grow and enhance the awareness and enthusiasm of the Marquette soccer teams and the women’s lacrosse program, resulting in increased attendance and fan engagement for home events. This position will also serve as the primary coordinator of the Marquette Kids Club, in which enhancing and increasing attendance in the program will result in the cultivation of young fans and their families through their engagement with Marquette Athletics. This position has the authority to make decisions without seeking approval from the supervisor when those decisions are based around one of the sports of his/her oversight.

In this capacity, the position must be able to act quickly without direction to help the athletics department respond and react to inquiries from the public in a timely and responsible manner.

Essential Functions 1.Responsible for all marketing, fan engagement and promotional aspects surrounding men’s & women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse programs. 2.Grow and enhance awareness for Marquette soccer and women’s lacrosse in the Milwaukee community and surrounding areas. 3.Develop and implement strategies to grow awareness of Marquette soccer and women’s lacrosse within the Marquette community, especially the student body, and to increase attendance by the students at home events. 4.Develop annual marketing plans for men’s & women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse. 5.Create and execute scripts and timing sheets for each home soccer and women’s lacrosse event. This includes the creation and execution of all promotional activities and events that occur at each home event. 6.Increase attendance and fan engagement at home soccer and women’s lacrosse events. Create initiatives to enhance fan engagement during home events that will result in a positive experience and encourage fans to return to future events. 7.Work in conjunction with Ticket Office to coordinate group sales, special events and promotions around soccer and women’s lacrosse home events. 8.Manage marketing budgets assigned to soccer and women’s lacrosse and make decisions with little to no guidance. 9.Coordinate, grow & facilitate all aspects of the Marquette Kids Club, including on-campus kids club events at Marquette sporting events 10.Manage and facilitate all departmental charitable donation requests 11.Serve as lead marketing representative for on-court promotions during women’s basketball games 12.Assist with the development and execution of marketing email program including creation and distribution of content 13.Assist Director of Marketing with content generation, strategy and implementation of digital and social media 14.Assist with the creation of digital graphics for social and digital media as needed 15.Assist the Assistant Director of Marketing with managing and supervising 16 student interns 16.Assist in managing, developing and editing website content around tickets & marketing pages on gomarquette.com 17. Perform other duties and responsibilities and assigned and requested.

Bachelor’s Degree required

1-3 years of experience preferred.

Experience with computers required.

Strong communications skills required.

Strong knowledge and experience with social media means required.

Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop preferred.
