POSITION PURPOSE: Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of International Food Products’ (IFP) Marketing annual plan and budget. He or she will be a vital part of the Sales Management team that drives the mission, vision and strategic growth initiatives of IFP.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategy
•Lead development of marketing strategy for the company and all of its associated brands in line with company objectives.
•Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
•Stay on top of market trends to support key strategic initiatives and support the R&D and sales teams in the development of new products or enhancement of current products.
•Understand company’s competitive landscape and our market position in the markets (geographical and industry) we serve.
•Develop annual marketing plan and budget.
•Manage all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department.
•Implement annual marketing plan and budget, evaluating metrics and improving along the way.
•Manage lead generation campaigns, measuring results.
•Manage all email marketing, including content, creative and list development.
•Manage all video marketing efforts.
•Prepare online and print marketing campaigns.
•Plan, attend and provide feedback on Customer Advisory Board.
•Leverage CRM (customer relationship management) for more effective and targeted marketing efforts and negotiate annual contract with CRM provider.
•Manage all company social media as needed to achieve company objectives.
•Plan, schedule and negotiate all advertising, print and digital.
•Plan for and attend trade functions and trade shows to look for market trends and support development of new markets and strategies.
•Lead external customer marketing events, host and attend as necessary. Trade Shows – manage coordination including space requirements, booth and sales materials. Customer dinner functions: coordinate and host.
•Get to know our customers by actively scheduling visits with the sales team.
•Source, negotiate and maintain inventory of marketing promotion materials.
•Manage creation of a wide range of marketing materials including writing/editing and managing outside resources to develop content, digital and print.
•Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
•Manage outside marketing resources including marketing agencies, designers, printers and other service providers.
•Track and analyze key marketing metrics monthly.
•Leverage metrics and reports to identify opportunities to improve marketing efforts.
•Hold monthly marketing meeting with VP, Sales and Marketing to go over results, get feedback, and fine-tune efforts.
•Available to report to other management on an as-needed basis, including monthly sales meetings.
•Various other duties as necessary to support the continued growth of the company.
