The International Communications Specialist, International Marketing and Outreach is a full time position at Seattle Central College. This position's primary duties are to develop and oversee prospective international student inquiry messaging and communications; to oversee the creation, development, and production of print and electronic international marketing materials, including those for social media; and to promote Seattle Central to prospective international students, partner schools, and organizations.

Conceptualizes, designs and produces IEP marketing materials (print and electronic), including e-brochures, booklets, flyers, blogs, videos, website graphics, and advertisements, according to Marketing strategic plans.
Manages all facets of print production: selects printers, arranges timetables for scope and completion of projects, projects and monitors expenditures, and handles all coordination and communication related to the design files, proofing, print, and final delivery of media projects.
Manages the messaging systems and communications cycles for international prospective students, according to Marketing strategic plans.
Serves as copy editor for the International Marketing & Outreach department
Provides design and content for digital ad and other marketing campaigns, as established by International Marketing & Outreach strategic plans.
Interviews, hires, trains, supervises, and assigns work/projects to part-time hourly and student international marketing assistant(s) and graphics assistant(s).
Hosts events on and off campus. Creates and delivers presentations to prospective international students, schools, agents, and organizations.
Work collaboratively across the district and lead (if directed) projects and initiatives in support of student success.
Performs other duties appropriate to the position as assigned.
Required Education, Experience & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree (or the equivalent) from an accredited institution
Experience with design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and lnDesign
Demonstrated skills in photography
Demonstrated ability to develop engaging social media campaigns and to use analytics to evaluate effectiveness
Excellent command of the English language, including the ability to read, write, and speak clearly and professionally
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
Evidence of being highly organized with the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within a group
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, conduct research, analyze data, draw conclusions, and create strategic plans
Demonstrated ability to supervise and evaluate the performance of others
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to international education
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally
Work collaboratively across the district and lead (if directed) projects and initiatives in support of student success
Experience working in domestic or international outreach/marketing/admissions, or international student advising
Experience with videography
Experience working with individuals from outside the United States
Demonstrated excellent public relations and interpersonal skills with international populations
Experience living outside native country
