The Marketing Communications Strategist is responsible for developing and executing marketing communications programs that drive real-world business results across multiple markets and business units. The individual should be a strong marketing communications strategist with multidisciplinary experience including social, digital and traditional media. The right person in this role will orchestrate clear, credible, compelling marketing communications, clinically and quality related strategies, which support strategic business initiatives. In addition, aligned with the rest of the Communications team, he/she will work to ensure consistency for provider-centric messaging.This role is essential in helping to strategically address business related issues in a timely manner, and keep a pulse on the concerns of care providers to help strengthen messaging, and ultimately improve care provider relationships. The Marketing Communications Strategist must be adept in providing strategic marketing communications counsel, communications planning and implementation, messaging and handling time-sensitive communications. This Strategist is involved in complex projects, as the provider marketing communications lead, for projects that are both national and regional in scope. This Strategist must also be able to express well and take a leadership role when working with a group, as well as, be a strong writer/editor. The Strategist is also responsible for securing approvals from review panels on all communications they are involved with and provide input to design and production. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or other related field 5+ years of marketing communications experience translating business objectives into clear, credible, compelling communications strategies and deliverables Experience leading highly visible, complex projects Experience directing cross-functional teams, delivering projects within constraints of schedule, budget and resources guidelines Outstanding verbal and written communication including presenting to C-suite level leaders Demonstrated digital and social media experience Experience with managing and working with outside creative resources (advertising/marketing agencies) Knowledge of AP Style Guidelines Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred QualificationsBackground in healthcare industry or other highly regulated industry Experience with SharePoint Experience working in a virtual environment Experience working across multiple regions/states within matrixed organizationCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
