This position is primarily responsible for creating, writing and developing materials and marketing strategies (both online and in print) to support internal and external communications, meeting promotions, and the overall mission of the association. The individual must work well in a team environment, manage multiple projects and be a self-starter. A good eye for design and an agricultural background will prove beneficial in this position. The position also includes some administrative support as needed for the communications, membership and meetings departments.
Help prepare and execute communications efforts to new and existing members
Assist in writing and producing ASTA’s newsletter
Update and manage ASTA’s website
Develop online and print materials for ASTA’s meetings (ie: registration brochure, program of events, proceedings)
Develop strategies and generate content for ASTA’s social media presence
Support the creation and execution of marketing strategies for ASTA events and association membership in partnership with the respective directors
Work with membership and meetings teams to pull relevant data reports and identify opportunities to increase member value and engagement
Reports To: ASTA Director of Communications
Strong communications, writing and marketing skills
Eye for design and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects
Responsible for meeting deadlines
Highly driven and results oriented
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Basic knowledge of HTML
2-3 years of marketing or communications experience
Agriculture background is a plus
