This person will be a hands-on manager of day-to-day and long-term production work, activities, and project work; and have responsibility for managing direct reports. Production/TrafficLeads and manages marketing and communications project development operational strategy and end-to-end oversightOversees the development of project timelines and collaborates with marketing/communications leader to specify goals, schedule tasks, identify risks, develop contingency plans, and plan resourcesOversees Rules of the Road review process, which governs internal approval process for necessary materialsCommunicates clear direction to ensure delivery teams understand project timing and requirements and communicate that to business partnersConducts internal project status meetings with cross-functional internal teamsCoordinates and follows up with consultants and agency (as appropriate) to be sure project progresses on schedule and goals and requirements are metPrepares daily project status and resource reports, keeping all parties involved and updatedPrepares estimates as appropriate and builds/manages project timelines and scopeObtains vendor costs and timing when developing and finalizing business partner estimatesWorks with marketing communications consultant to address estimate constraints and monitor scope/assumptionsAlerts supervisor and account team when barriers or issues ariseOperationsEffectively manage all expenditures including operating budget and capital investments related to production and communications teamInteract with IT on technical issues related to content management system and other projects to ensure that the operation remains both technically sound and fiscally efficientManage all expense and budget aspects for provider communicationsTeam LeadershipManage performance, compensation, and individual development and training plans for employees on Production teamReward and compensate employees based on performance and skillsDevelop and manage succession plans to ensure a continuous flow of talent exists for key Production positionsWork with subject matter experts and teams on activities, projects and issues that address traffic/production, financial, and operations to ensure strategic and tactical priorities are successfully addressedEnsure tight coordination between Production team and communications writers to drive efficient processes and on-time turnaround of projectsLead problem solving and troubleshooting activities for ProductionLead the continuous process improvement initiativesBe alert to better, more cost effective and efficient ways of running the production operationAdminister and implement such improvement programs as are developed for productionPerform other duties as assigned or appropriate
