The Program Manager, Email and Digital Marketing, is a vital member of the Annual Giving team. The Manager is a member of the marketing and participation team and works with members of the team to plan, coordinate, and implement comprehensive email campaigns for the Cornell Annual Fund and other annual giving initiatives including but not limited to 1865 Society, Reunion campaign and Giving Day. The Manager coordinates Annual Giving's email calendar, works with a variety of content creators and designers to develop and test themes for emails and provides valuable reporting and analysis about email performance, which informs decision making. The position leads the division's crowdfunding campaign in coordination with several cross-functional partners. In addition, the position plays an integral role in the implementation of the division's comprehensive digital strategy to aggressively grow donor acquisition and retention and serves as a member of the division's Email Marketing Team. The Manager also provides support for Annual Giving's online giving initiatives including Giving Day, web properties and digital communications.
Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent. Experience in digital marketing, email marketing and fundraising preferred. Experience creating and sending emails and managing email campaigns strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to manage timelines in a fast-pace work environment. Must have outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Must have strong oral and written communication skills with both internal and external audiences. Must be detail oriented, highly motivated, show initiative, results driven, and able to manage multiple and changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to work proactively, with excellent organizational and time management skills. Must have the ability to effectively represent the University and to work effectively in a team-based environment with a diverse mix of volunteers, alumni, and colleagues. Must be able to work, at an advanced level, with desktop applications, databases, desktop publishing applications, reporting applications, networked informational systems and the Internet. Must show demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively. Must show ability to work in a complex, fast-moving and dynamic environment, with demonstrated ability to be flexible and deal with a level of uncertainty. Prior experience working with email systems preferred. Fluency in i-Modules, Adobe PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign, I-modules and/or HTML a plus.
