Job Summary: The Inside and Broker Sales Associate will work with and support PinnacleCare’s Connection sales team to secure reseller and influencer relationships with health insurance and benefits brokers that serve small and medium sized companies. This may also include supporting the broker sales efforts of PinnacleCare’s strategic partners.
Key metrics for the position include:
Outbound call production.
Securing contracts with target brokers for third party sales and/or referrals.
Revenue yield from target brokers.
Profile development: develop profiles of brokers to be targeted to ensure productive prospecting. Collaborate with the designated sales teams and marketing to define the profiles based on target market campaigns and geographical locations.
List building: based on the profile definition, the inside and broker sales position will be responsible for developing lists of potential prospects, sourced both externally and internally, and based on an approved budget allocation.
Market development: in collaboration with the marketing team, develop plans to include: establishing target market messaging, required sales tools, pricing strategies, integration with implementation and account management, and a dedicated sales and lead follow up process.
Outbound calling: the target list drives outbound calling and emails/social media (if appropriate). A target number of calls/emails will be established and agreed upon based on list quality. Incentive compensation is tied to outbound contact production.
Participation in Broker related events: based on the market development plan to target brokers, attend regional or national events. Attendance may be required, or other team members may represent the firm with support from the Inside Sales position.
Sales and Executive team preparation: develops a short briefing document about the prospect in the event support is needed from the executive team to ensure that the team member is prepared for the call/meeting.
Follow-up: participate in follow up calls with the broker’s prospects and designated team member, as needed. Provide any follow up materials including a recap of next steps to the broker prospect and/or team member.
Pipeline management: includes ensuring pipeline information is current, and participation in the regular sales management process.

2-3 years minimum of outbound marketing/sales experience, preferably to healthcare and benefits brokers. 5 years minimum of external sales experience that include cold calling to small and medium sized companies and health insurance brokers desirable.
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Basic experience in health care or related industry such as insurance.
Excellent verbal and writing skills, specifically the ability to concisely describe the value proposition.
Ability to work with a diverse team.
Limited travel, if needed.
Additional Salary Information: Commission or Bonus potential of $25,000 to $35,000 based on production, securing contracts and revenue yield metrics.
