The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) is an international, not-for-profit association of the world’s manufacturers of fans, louvers, dampers, air curtains, air flow measurement devices, ducts, acoustic attenuators and other air system components.
AMCA is seeking an experienced and resourceful Marketing and Communications Manager. This role focuses largely on harmonizing marketing and communications on a global scale with project focus in North America, Europe, and the Middle East regions. The successful candidate requires skill balancing between developing a strategic marketing vision and executing ongoing tactical objectives.
The position will be based full-time at AMCA headquarters in Arlington Heights, IL with the ability to travel approximately 25% in North America & internationally for planned association events throughout the year. Travel destinations include Europe, Middle East, Asia, and North America.
Manage AMCA seminars (not meetings), tradeshow booths and advertising plans including design, logistics and staffing
Serve as AMCA’s public-facing image while developing the communications strategy to include press releases, media opportunities, website updates, and social media.
Develop multi-year marketing strategies and program plans to include metrics that guide implementation and determine eventual success
Develop new sponsorship relationships and campaigns for AMCA events
Lead the strategic direction of association’s website presence and administration in coordination with content and web design staff
Coordinate the production of videos, brochures, and member surveys
Provide support and promotion for AMCA meetings and seminars
Act as liaison for AMCA marketing committees in North America, Europe, and Middle East, and coordinate with Asia AMCA Marketing Committee
Work with AMCA Industry Content Manager to coordinate education and training
Edit and enforce global branding and style guide
Develop and manage marketing and communications budgets
The new Marketing and Communications Manager will benefit from expanding their global portfolio of work while developing new professional relationships. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a Marketing and Communications role in addition to the following qualifications:
5-7 years Marketing background for a professional or manufacturing association; 3-5 years of supervisory experience
Strong preference for ASAE Certified (CAE) professionals
Technically savvy with experience deploying marketing concepts for digital influence
Examples of related projects, developed marketing frameworks and communication plans
Superior organization and project management skills
Facility in communicating and connecting with a wide range of global professionals and stakeholders in large and small groups
Entrepreneurial spirit with a flexible and collaborative nature
Solid understanding of financial and budgeting principles
Experience with content, customer and other marketing databases
Experience using marketing analytic tools
Four-year degree from an accredited marketing and/or communications program in a related field, or a four-year technology degree (engineering, physical sciences, information technology), with a proven history of marketing/communications
AMCA is a trade association for companies that manufacture products for air systems in buildings, power plants, and industrial processes. With a growing member base, we currently serve 350 member organizations in locations ranging from the Americas to Asia to Europe to Middle East, and we have affiliate testing labs in Malaysia, France, Korea, and Dubai.
