Under the direction of the Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, this position will support the Marketing department within Newport Beach & Company. The Marketing, Communications, and Partnerships Manager role will be responsible for implementing integrated marketing programs with Dine Newport Beach partners as well as the organization’s multiple other business units including: Celebrate Newport Beach; Enterprise Newport Beach; Visit Newport Beach, Inc.; and more.? This role will cultivate new strategic partnerships, for which specific revenue goals will be set. Furthermore, the position will support the communications team – content writing (e-newsletters, blog, websites, social media posts), media requests, FAM trip assistance, etc.
The position requires the ability to bring forth ideas and best practices to position the company’s assets. In addition, candidates need a strong degree of multitasking, a sharp focus for details, an innate sense of urgency and must be clever, thoughtful, and tenacious. The Manager will interact with community and business leaders. Further, the finalist for this position will demonstrate ability to be resourceful, possess strong writing and communication skills, a strong understanding of sales and marketing and be able to work in an entrepreneurial organization. An ability to function independently, with minimal oversight, is necessary.

Dine Newport Beach Marketing Partnerships Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):
Work with the Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships to assist with developing, implementing and tracking integrated, marketing campaigns for Dine Newport Beach
Act as the day-to-day marketing liaison between the Newport Beach Restaurant Association (NBRA) and Newport Beach & Company
Act as the prime steward of Dine Newport Beach to ensure brand consistency throughout all marketing and content channels
Oversee the production of Newport Beach Restaurant Week
Manage and develop relationships with Dine Newport Beach community partners
Implement processes and tracking tools to measure marketing activities against quarterly and annual goals
Maintain Newport Beach & Company database of restaurant contacts including owners, general managers, chefs, and event coordinators
Marketing Partnerships Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):
Develop a comprehensive sales and marketing program of work
Report monthly business unit goals to the Executive Team including sales revenue, projections and forecasts
Prospect and qualify non-Newport Beach organizations for potential paid partnerships via leads from within the community and from research
Prepare samplings of business unit assets for comprehensive sales presentation portfolios
Contact and visit prospects to point out advantages of products and exhibit prepared portfolios
Present and negotiate sponsorship packages with clients and partners
Develop and maintain strategic partner relationships
Communications Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):
Assist with copy writing for press releases, collateral, media pitches, website copy, advertorials, annual report, e-newsletters, and more as assigned
Assist with content for multiple destination blogs, social media, and website content
Support media relations hosted FAM trips
Thorough understanding of sales, marketing, sponsorship activation, business development, and communications/public relations
Strong understanding of branding and marketing
Background in sales or sponsorship negotiations
Experience writing for a variety of communications vehicles
Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite of products, especially Dreamweaver
Knowledge of WordPress
Three to five years related work experience
4-year college degree required
Knowledge of sales and project management software platforms
Self-motivated to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadline (manage time effectively)
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, coordination and attention-to-detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of production, file preparation and formatting
Extremely detailed with excellent follow through and able to multi-task.
Demonstrated success in managing and delivering projects with well-defined deadlines
Ability to work with a variety of departments, agencies, and personalities.
Knowledge of the local area, hospitality industry, travel industry and marketing are a plus
Professional demeanor, etiquette, and a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently, but with a small staff
Flexible schedule a must, with some nights, weekends, and travel required
