The Marketing Specialist plans and directs the marketing of MCCC’s services. Working in close collaboration with teams from graphic design, communications, public relations, web design, and social media, the Marketing Specialist develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, plans and oversees advertising and promotion, selects and contracts with agencies and suppliers, and establishes and maintains consistent brand standards.
The Marketing Specialist also researches and analyses financial, technical, competitive and demographic market factors to determine the most effective strategies, assesses the effectiveness of marketing results and produces reports for senior executive management, and adjusts marketing strategy based on monitoring and assessment.
The Marketing Specialist also develops and coordinates new means of outreach with others on the Marketing and Communications team. Such new means include social media marketing, use of video for marketing, and web advertising. Experience and skill in these and other new media areas is a plus.
Ability to coordinate a multi-disciplinary team effort and to work effectively with peer teammates is essential. Experience in graphic design is a plus.
Experience in Higher education a plus. • Background and experience in web-based marketing. Understanding of the techniques of web-based marketing, web-based marketing design, response design, and data analytics. • Background and experience in social media marketing, including popularly used platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Linked-In, and YouTube). Understanding of contemporary approaches to and techniques for social media marketing.
Graphic Design experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
