The Regional Marketing Director is responsible for planning and implementing shopping center marketing, community and public relations programs at the Downtown at the Gardens and ShopCore’s Texas community centers. Marketing strategies are focused on driving traffic, supporting and increasing retailer sales and engaging the communities to enhance property value. In addition, this position provides support for special projects and needs under the direction of the Director of Shopping Center Marketing and works closely with the Marketing Coordinator on program initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1.Responsible for the oversight, coordination and execution of marketing business plans and programs for Downtown at the Gardens and Texas community centers in conjunction with the property management team 2.Responsible for the management of marketing funds, including budget preparation, negotiating to maximize spend and adjusting to account for changes in income. This includes the implementation of corporate initiatives, corporate marketing reports and management of marketing funds budget 3.Supports the collection process of marketing fund contributions, as well as other outstanding monies due from tenants. Makes appropriate adjustments for shortfalls during reforecast 4.Responsible for contracting and managing personnel to support the execution of marketing programs including training, monitoring and addressing issues 5.Coordinates shopping center visual merchandising and advertising programs 6.Partners with the specialty leasing, property management and other team members to support ancillary revenue goals. Develops and maintains relationships with current and potential temporary tenants 7.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks 8.Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
Education, Training and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or journalism with 8+ plus years of related marketing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Nature of work requires an ability to analyze, communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, and operate standard business office equipment. Ability to lift and transport marketing and presentation materials or equipment up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work performed in a general office environment. Availability for travel up to 15-20% of the time to property and construction sites for on-site project monitoring, retailer engagement and meeting attendance. May require availability for extended hours during peak/seasonal periods. Availability for local and overnight travel to attend meetings, special events, conferences and seminars.
