This is a part time position (4 hours daily Monday-Friday)
This position assists in the creation and management of the University's Research publications and online presence, including The Research
Rainmaker, press releases, and social media outlets. Provides professional creative writing, presentation
and/or production development of marketing pieces on behalf of the Office of Research
Communications and the Office of Research. Designs and distributes electronic communication media
on behalf of the Office of Research and its affiliated offices. Helps organize and execute special events
on behalf of the Office of Research. Provides assistance as needed with administrative functions in the
various Offices of Research, including the VC for Research.
The successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years work experience in an marketing and or communications. Advanced education will be considered in lieu of experience. Experience working in higher education or past experience is preferred. Computer proficiency in necessary. Must have excellent phone etiquette, verbal communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced-demanding environment. Ability to work with minimum supervision, should be customer service driven and able to multi-task.
