The NYU Tandon School of Engineering, the second oldest private engineering school in the U.S., with enrollment of 2,800 graduate students in 10 departments, seeks a talented, creative and data-driven professional to serve as Associate Director of Graduate Marketing & Recruitment. The Associate Director will report to the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management & Admissions and be responsible for all aspects of graduate marketing and recruitment, including planning and implementation of international and U.S. travel. The Associate Director will work with office leadership to meet graduate enrollment goals in accordance with the department’s strategic plan and to develop and shape outreach and marketing strategies.
Manage up to 3 admission professionals and 3 regional recruiters. Supervise students, interns as necessary;
Create communication plans and presentations for prospective and admitted student populations and manage the office CRM system;
Organize and coordinate the activities of partner vendors who provide marketing, digital marketing, media and research services to the office and recommend new vehicles for promoting NYU Tandon; manage existing MOUs and seek out new partnership opportunities;
Monitor office social media accounts and recommend outreach opportunities;
Routinely perform outcomes assessment and evaluation of marketing and recruitment tactics and strategies;
Coordinate with faculty, other NYU Tandon / NYU departments and offices to assure good service to our students, including academic departments, Office of Global Services, Student Affairs, Bursar, Registrar, ITS, Career Services, etc.;
Oversee on-campus, off-campus and virtual recruitment and yield events;
Provide admission counseling to prospective students;
Plan & implement recruitment and yield travel, and represent the Tandon School of Engineering at regional, national and international fairs, events, receptions and university visits;
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s preferred; 5-7 years in a university admission office or related experience;
Excellent communication, writing and problem-solving skills; experience planning and executing strategic international recruitment travel and outreach;
Knowledge of STEM fields; knowledge of international graduate student mobility and trends; experience working with international credentials; strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Adobe Connect, Excel, PowerPoint, Image Now.
